Abstract
The project is the preparation of web map of one horned rhino of Chitwan national park. The project is the preparation of database with digital map with the aim to provide a path for the planning and management of the safe habitat. Moreover, the survey with Global Positioning System (GPS) which will be performed to locate one horned rhino helps in creation of database storing information (shelter, feeding habit, and other facilities) of the each one horned rhino in the particular area. Well planned master plans Web maps are required for proper planning of shelter where their food, water and safety is guaranteed. The Concept and Preparation of Scientific Web map of the targeted area by GIS Method by global positioning system (GPS) and updating of missing details by GPS survey, to generate Web map data to fit for producing hard copies of maps at basic scales and this map data will be incorporated in a GIS system for further planning and management issues.
The evolvement of the protecting endangered species from hunters and others has not been so long. It has just started to step in the run of development with safety and protection. Hence to preserve the natural beauty and manage the habit and habitat of one horn rhino with an excellent planning, the web maps of one horn rhino with database inventories is to be prepared. This provides a strong framework to make plans for implementing efficient development activities and provide services to one horned rhino with the complete information stored in the database.
This project explores the possibility of data sharing and setting up information system to inform different people at one time about the status of one horned rhinoceros. In this new technology world, Web map can be important elements in rhino’s life to access information of their habit and habitat. This project report gives detail information about the requirement, development process, methodologies, testing and evaluation of present situation and needed technical parts in Chitwan national park to enhance the conditions of Greater one horned rhino and provides suggestions for future improvements.
